hey hey hey!
Today's post is going to be a tad different. I didn't want this blog to become a fashion blog but I was really feelin' my outfit yesterday and definitely wanted to share.
I'll link all of the items below and you'll be surprised to know...
it's almost ALL from Target!
*sigh* good ol' Target.
The place of infinite possibilities. It's a second home to me.
Seriously. On rough days, I'll head over to Target just to browse. It calms me down to know that everything is in it's place.
Anyway, a few days ago I went to Target in search of a new purse, one that was neutral and would go with a more dressed up look & one that I could pair with jeans and a tee.
Enter this beaut.
I love the color of the purse & the quality of the material is incredible. I love the adjustable strap and the buckle in the front. I got a matching wallet as well. Super cute!
I don't know about you, but I have the hardest time shopping for pants. I have ONE pair of jeans that I wear all the time because of the tried and true fit.
I have (what I like to call) athletic legs and booty. They easily put on muscle and size and take a little extra work to really lean them out. And my waist, though not "tiny" is smaller.
Because of this, I have to usually go up a size in pants to accommodate for my legs and butt & have to use a belt 99% of the time to make the waist fit.
It's frustrating. So when I saw that Target was having this deal where you try on jeans you get a $10 off coupon, I decided "what the heck. I'll look."
Expecting to find NOTHING, I grabbed 6 different pairs of pants in multiple sizes and made my way to the fitting rooms.
I tried on every pant and hated the way they looked or felt. Finally, these pants were last and BAM.
Totally out of my style comfort zone but felt SO good in them. They're wide leg pants that are very long.
They definitely require heels and I'll probably still have to get them hemmed. I'd been looking on Pinterest for a while for wide legged pants but didn't think I could pull them off or feel comfortable enough to wear them.
But, I had the coupon and I knew could always return them if I didn't wear them right away.
I love this shirt. I've seen this shirt (or similar ones) everywhere for over a year and when I came across this one at Target for a quarter of the price of the other ones, I had to get it.
It was an impulse buy, but it's one of my new favorites for sure.
The material is super soft and incredibly comfortable.
The only thing, is you'll have to get a size up or two - depending on desired fit.
I like my tees to fit a little loose so I can tuck them in or sleep in them. I got a size Large, but could have gotten a Medium had they had it. I do think this will shrink a little though, so maybe the Large was a good choice.
I paired everything with a brown belt (also from Target) and some Steve Madden brown open-toed heels from DSW & Ray Bans.
I think the entire look is super cute and casual. Perfect for a date night, family gathering, or for running errands.
Play it up or down and add your own twist on it. I think this would be perfect with a cute hat or in the winter time a beanie.
Have a fun shopping babes!
XO.

And just because he's so good looking ;)
