Hi!
Welcome back to our journey! Last post I was struck with a horrible cold & it left me a little delirious. So if that post was hard to follow, I applaud you for even giving it a shot.
I'm much better and our kitchen is still moving! We are working hard and honestly, sometimes hardly working.
You see, life gets in the way sometimes. & that's quite alright....but when you're living off of microwaveable meals, it gets old real quick when life interrupts your end goal.
In the middle of this kitchen reno, we've had a few detours. For example, the countertop that we LOVED, is unavailable. I'll save you the drama and leave it at that. This left us back at square one and although we've narrowed it back down to two countertops, we just can't seem to decide.
Another [ s m a l l ] detour is that my husband has been blessed with the heart of gold and helps animals and people as much as possible. I am no exception, I see an animal on the side of the road, you better believe we're stopping on a freeway to help that thing. [ true story].
Let me explain. My husband calls me from work and explains that there's a dog running around the neighborhood where he works, covered in blood and he doesn't know what to do. Immediately, I KNOW we're bringing this dog home.
We call multiple shelters and vets for advice and help. Finally, after many treats later, Zach got the dog into his truck and we took him to a vet. The poor dog, who is the absolute sweetest dog alive, must have gotten caught on something and ripped the bottom half of his left ear off and gashed his leg.
A pretty penny, some staples, and stitches later, he's checked out, neutered, medicated, and on the road home with us.
How does this relate to your kitchen, Kelli?
Okay, okay I'm getting there.
This happened a couple weeks ago. He's still with us. We NEED to find him a home. And because he's here, we have had to completely rearrange our dogs' lives since they couldn't be around him while on medication and healing up.
Because of this, we have to adjust our time accordingly and our kitchen (lack thereof) has been placed on the back burner.
That was longer than intended. And I apologize for the lack of photos and updates.
However, to be truthfully honest, the only difference right now, is we have drywall back up and it isn't a room of open wires and wood.
That's a win for me, so I'll take them, as small as they may be.
I hope that life has been good to you respect your kitchen, whether small, large, clean, or overflowing with dishes, at least you have one. ;)
Coming soon.... HOW TO SURVIVE USING ONLY A MICROWAVE & COFFEE MAKER.
XO.
